Now you can instantly optimize the damping setting of your shock absorber to suit your riding style and the condition of the road
Electronically Controlled (EC) shock absorbers let you make adjustments to the shock absorber damping with a small control panel
Setting changes take effect within 10 milliseconds
Front and rear shocks can be adjusted independently
High setting recommended for riding with a passenger and/or packed luggage; low setting recommended for solo riding or racetrack performance
Shock control unit is included with rear shock absorber
If only the front shock absorber is installed, the shock control unit and mounting bracket must be ordered separately
Front shock is Type 36HRC3L, 36mm internal piston, hose-mounted shock reservoir and electronically adjustable compression damping
Rear shock is Type 46HRC3L, 46mm internal piston, hose-mounted shock reservoir and electronically adjustable compression damping
Front feature manually adjustable rebound damping and shock length, rear has adjustable shock length only
Control Unit
Features a two-row display that shows the current shock damper settings
Top row is upper shock absorber setting; bottom row is rear shock absorber setting
If only one EC shock is installed, the control unit shows the shock setting in the upper row and the lower row shows the voltage output of the motorcycle
Press the Öhlins logo to choose either the front or rear shock absorber, then press the + or - button to increase or decrease shock damping force
Technical Specifications
Shock power consumption: one shock absorber is 1A at 12V/12W, two shock absorbers are 2A at 12V/24W
When the motorcycle is switched off and restarted, shock absorber settings return to the last settings selected
If power supply fails or there is some other type of electronic malfunction, the shock absorbers will maintain a certain amount of damping for safe riding (mechanical fail-safe mode)
